EastSider PBass
This one is one of our first developments. Like all pickups. This one was well tested in session work from LA/NYC/Latin America. Voiced for transparency. To enhance the natural sound of your instrument and unique staple of "Fingertone".
-Our vintage modern is a moderate output model that can cover the 60s-70s tones with a modern twist.
-Our Full Spectrum, has the vibe of our V/M, but has much more volume and headroom. Depending on wire tolerances, 18.8-20kΩ approximately 12,500 turns per bobbin. Making it an absolute fire breather, and filling in all requests in what the current masses choice of high output PBass replacement pickups seem to be lacking.
My goal was to have a versatile pickup. The roster and my styles of use for this range from Punk to Latin style players. This is a pickup that drives your SVT style amp in to oblivion, play extremely well with overdrives and fuzzes. As well as be volume knob sensitive. Having the volume knob rolled and be more of a pass through of eras within the range of your volume pot!
Depending on your volume taper. You could get a vintage warm funky classic Pbass tone at 60%, 70-80% you will be in dub cumbia territory. Then turn it up for that extra boost, which includes a little bit of treble and mids when maxed to unleash its full tonal Spectrum. Things warm up nicely obviously when reacting with a volume knob.
